RadTeamSim.Meter
-Coming soon!

RadTeamSim.Meter is a mobile application that brings radiation detection simulation directly to your phone. Designed for field team training, Meter uses your phone’s GPS to drive the simulation as you move through the real world — no kiosk, computer, or SaaS login required.

Train Anywhere

With RadTeamSim.Meter, your training environment is wherever you are. Walk or drive through your actual jurisdiction while receiving simulated radiation readings based on the loaded scenario. Practice field survey procedures, instrument switching, and data recording in the same physical spaces where you would respond to a real emergency.

Four Detection Instruments

Switch between four simulated detection instruments during a mission: Dosimeter for continuous dose rate monitoring, beta survey measurements, alpha survey measurements, and gamma survey measurements (includes open and closed window options). Each instrument displays readings in real time as your position changes.

Mission Workflow

Start a mission from the Meter app, select your scenario and responder details, and begin moving. Monitor your real-time dose rate on the personal radiation detector display, save observations and surveys as you go, and track your mission status throughout. When you complete your mission, review your dosimetry overview graph showing dose rate over elapsed simulation time. Just as with the SaaS, users can also authenticate into Mission Edge or CBRNResponder to instantly transmit data into either system.

Standalone or Integrated

RadTeamSim.Meter works two ways. As a standalone tool, anyone can use Meter for individual field training without a RadTeamSim.Route and RadTeamSim.Flight SaaS subscription. As an integrated companion, SaaS subscribers get Meter included at no additional cost, allowing mobile access alongside their kiosk-based Route and Flight sessions.

Immediate Feedback

Every RadTeamSim.Meter mission ends with a detailed mission summary that gives responders immediate insight into their simulated exposure. The summary includes a radiation exposure assessment based on CDC Health Impact Guidelines, placing the mission result into a hazard category with a plain-language description of potential health effects. Responders also receive a complete mission report covering mission duration, highest dose rate encountered, total dose received, predicted health impacts, and a dose comparison to familiar reference exposures like common medical procedures. This feedback reinforces safe field practices by connecting training decisions directly to health outcomes — so responders can see how their route choices, time in the field, and instrument use translate to real consequences.

Availability

RadTeamSim.Meter is currently in development with a release for use on both Google and Apple mobile devices expected in early 2026. Contact us to be notified when RadTeamSim.Meter becomes available.
